OK, those Zara jeans are fab. And long. I can't figure out where I need them to be as I will never be wearing heels in them but "trainer" length is tough to hit. But still, the fit is great!
I also recommend the TRF MOM FIT HIGH-WAIST JEANS from Zara in light blue for summer which didn't need any tailoring at the bottom, I found the length perfect. And I got them in grey for winter.
I was also intrigued by Apple Cider Vinegar. My other two TV recommendations are Dope Girls on iPlayer and School Swap - US to UK on Channel 4. The first is thought provoking and funny and feminist. The second is unexpectedly heartwarming and lovely.
Recent purchase Frame palazzo jeans crop - on OUTNET about £130…get lots of compliments and sooo comfy to wear! Colette jeans as mentioned below also really fab…
The Colette jeans from Anthropologie are a fantastic wide leg pair - they are a crop but I’m 5’4” and they are the perfect length. I’m obsessed with Colette trousers from Anthropologie in general, they come in such great colours and fabrics.
1. HOW - As a Six foot tall woman - Did I not know about Zara Jeans being Long ???!! (Probably because they don’t go up to a Size 16/18, really) I once had an upsetting experience getting of my legs stuck in the leg of dome H&M maternity jeans 👖 2. LOVE That Occitane copy Lidl hand-cream, too !!
3. I’ve been thinking about trying laundry sheets for Ages, but am retro and like using Powder !! And 4. My ‘budget’ invention of the day: Put ‘leftover from Christmas’ Lidl Gluhwein in the fridge -, and then pretend it’s Sangria ; the perfect Cold Spring Drink !🍷
I WishI didn’t always hit Send so Quickly! I feel like my comment wasn’t complete : I ALSO recently bought some barrel-leg jeans from the Re-Baukjen section on their website (actually, it could’ve been Vinted/ Depop, I can’t remember!) Anyway, They aren’t quite long enough, but fit Brilliantly everywhere else, AND are roomy enough that I can wear thermal leggings underneath, which is a massive Bonus in the colder weather, so I’ve decided to ‘embrace’ the slightly shorter length (!). I Rate Baukjen - have probably bought about 10 or 12 things from them, over the last few years, with only 1 ‘dud’ (cardigan with reallllly long, annoyingly long arm sleeves !?)
Started 'The Studio' on Apple TV last night and it is sooooo good - fantastic behind-the-scenes-in-Hollywood details and really funny too. There is also a new series of Hacks coming in April, woo hoo!
I have bought loads on your recco Esther, most recently the Swedish foot cream which is ace. Can also highly recommend the Aveeno dry oil body spray, but I think that has come up on here before - most likely it's where I heard about it! Oh, and also Lush shampoos! X
shrinking is the best thing on tv at the moment. i know its not new but harrison ford is just IT. ive been wearing the beyond nine barrel jeans and theyre so so soft but tbh probs a bit too barrelly.
reading - absolute filth romance on kindle unlimited. my brain is broken and cannot cope with actual proper fiction which is very strange.
I was a little angry punk kid who wore very baggy jeans, and I am in shock and awe and delight at the palazzo jeans in M+S. This is my fucking midlife crisis. I don’t need to see my shoes. I shall soak up every puddle in a mile radius. I FEEL SO ALIVE.
Might as well have a sign on my forehead saying ‘Esther take my money and do with it as you see fit’. Curse your excellent recommendations. Hope you have affiliate links as you should be making money from these recs… I mean, even Meghan is doing it…
The Residence on Netflix is jolly good fun. I managed to snap a pair of high-waist crease leg flared jeans from H&M, they sold out quickly, and I like them a lot. Didn’t even have to alter them.
Esther! So unhelpful....I have just gone and ordered the damned Freddie Sheets...when I have been perfectly happy with, and raved about, your previous excellent rec of EcoWash which does such a great job and smells wonderful too. Thank you.
I have been terrified of wide leg jeans but took the plunge recently with a “slim palazzo” style from Frame. I love them and have had a lot of compliments at work (versus my usual total of zero). They are expensive full price but I managed to get some half price from Trilogy in the sale. They’re also hands down the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever worn and have a 31” inside leg so didn’t need altering. Worth keeping an eye on the Outnet as Frame jeans often turn up on there.
Lupin on netflix, like a French version of Oceans Eleven
The Residence on Netflix is a great whodunnit in the White House setting — done by Shonda Rhimes!!

Thanks for the tip re Baukjen - I have scrolled it many a time but haven’t taken the plunge yet.

Frame jeans are the duck’s nuts. Often on The Outnet for a fraction of their retail price.
