There are some cliches in life that the media finds very convenient to propagate because it makes for easy content.
Creating content is an absolute non-stop total butthole of a job for newspapers and magazines. It’s all the do all day long, sit about going “Urrrrr,” thinking up “ideas”. And so the merry-go round of seasonal subjects is important to them. At this time of year there will inevitably be features about “piling on the Christmas pounds” or “over-indulging in the festive season” or whatever. It is a thing they like to believe is happening, so that they can write about it.
But doing all this over-indulging is not an inevitability! Piling on the pounds doesn’t have to happen. And if you do not want to put on weight over Christmas I can tell you how.
